Mission Beach is a three mile peninsula which extends south from Pacific Beach. The beach area is just 10 minutes from the San Diego Airport, downtown San Diego, The San Diego Zoo, Old Town San Diego and just 6 blocks to SeaWorld. It is also located right on and next to Mission Bay, which includes over 4,000 acres of beautiful parks and wetlands.

Mission Beach is well known for being the home of Belmont Park, (formerly the Mission Beach Amusement Park), The Wave House and The Giant Dipper Roller Coaster. Although Mission Beach is best known for having great beach vacation rentals there are also some great hotels, motels and resorts on the beach and close by on Mission Bay.
